Colleen's Reviews

BWW Review: Nunsense Starring Joyce DeWitt at
Hunterdon Hills Playhouse for Delightful Dinner Theatre

"The multi-talented cast brings the Nunsense to life on the Hunterdon stage.
It is headlined by stage, screen and Television star, Joyce Dewitt as the Mother Superior, Sister Mary Regina.
As a former Circus performer, she
still loves the spotlight. Dewitt is joined on stage by Mari Green as Sister Hubert,
the Mistress of Novices; Cassandra Leigh Maguire,
the street-wise nun from Brooklyn, Sister Robert Ann;
Colleen Campbell as absent minded, good natured, Sister Mary Amnesia; and Sarah
Whiteford as
the graceful ballet dancing nun, Sister Mary Leo. Sister Mary Amnesia's audience quiz,
Sister Mary Leo's dance segment, and Sister Regina getting high are just some of
the many comical scenes that shine bright in the production."

Review: 'Unexpected songs' showcases best of musical theatre
Show Palace Veteran Colleen Campbell shines singing 'Wonderful' from
'The King and I' and in duets with Trenton Bainbridge such as 'Spring Fever'
from 'State Fair' and 'People Will Say Were in Love' from 'Oklahoma'!

BWW Review: A DOO WOP CHRISTMAS BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER

to The Show Palace Dinner Theatre

Colleen Campell's a cappella rendition of "Oh Holly Night" set against
a nativity backdrop literally gave me goosebumps
especially when she  exceeds the high notes needed for "Fall on your knees and hear the angels voices"...

The cast and songs shine in A Doo Wop Christmas - Tampa Bay Times
"In a show filled with high points, Colleen Campbell’s clear as a bell,
a cappella rendition of O Holy Night is one never to be forgotten."

By Barbara L. Fredricksen, Times Staff Writer - Nov 27th, 2017

Show Palace's 'Marvelous Wonderettes' hits the right notes
"Most impressive is Colleen Campbell (green dress red hair) as Betty Jean, who
can belt with the best and add gospel-style emotions that really soars with
'I Only Want to be With You','That's When the Tears Start' and 'It's My Party'."

Show Palace Christmas show is a sweet holiday treat
"Act 2 brings back the King James Bible version of the nativity of Jesus, with
Colleen Campbell as the angel Gabriel singing a strong, soaring
Ave Maria"

Give Our Regards to Broadway
Talented voices, with lots of glitz, tell Broadway's story at the Show Palace .

"High spots come when the lovely soprano
Colleen Campbell does I Could Have Danced all Night
from My Fair Lady..."
"But the show isn't just voices; it's also dancing. And what dancing it is, from the twosome Campbell and Elrod burning up the floor to Hot Honey Rag from Chicago to big tap number We're in the money from 42nd Street, with dancers decked out in glittery green and silver."

-Barbara L. Fredricksen, Times Staff Writer - Sept 28th, 2015
Crazy For You
Lighthearted story, heavy-duty dancing spark "Crazy For You" at Show Palace
"What it takes for this show to really take off are fine voices, exciting choreography done by accomplished dancers"
"But it's when the entire 20-member cast joins for precision tap dancing that the stage explodes with energy and excitement and gives new meaning to I Got Rhythm and Slap That Bass."
-Barbara L. Fredricksen, Times Staff Writer

A Show Palace Christmas Spectacular
Spectacular solos bring holiday cheer to Show Palace Christmas show.

"...the second act, which is lovely and features several vocally dazzling solos - Colleen Campbell's powerful, pitch - perfect Ave Maria"
-Barbara L. Fredricksen, Times Staff Writer - Nov 30th 2015

West Side Story
Perfectly chosen cast delivers stunning
production of West Side Story at the Show Palace.

"Here is one thing you need to know...This production is so beautiful, so moving, so incredibly well executed that once the word gets out, there won't be a ticket left to buy."
"Then there is the dancing - muscular, athletic, acrobatic,
balletic by turns - done with energy and enthusiasm by the  22 dancer/singers, who truly burn up the floor. This is a classy show, done with breathtaking class."
